EEN connects local businesses with European institutions by taking part in consultations on EU regulations and directives. The network also promotes European Commission initiatives for businesses and works closely with local institutions and stakeholders to help the region seize the opportunities offered by the European Union.

The European Commission has launched a public consultation on the revision of the EU public procurement rules. Businesses, organisations, and interested stakeholders are invited to submit comments and feedback.

EU Enlargement: Opportunities and Challenges for Businesses

Eurochambres, the European Association of Chambers of Commerce, has launched a consultation to gather businesses’ views on the European Union’s enlargement process. The survey aims to identify opportunities, challenges, and needs related to the markets of EU candidate and potential candidate countries. The results will help highlight business priorities and support a more effective economic integration process for the benefit of European SMEs.

Industrial batteries: minimum values for electrochemical performance and durability

The European Commission is gathering feedback on the proposed minimum values for the electrochemical performance and durability of industrial batteries. The initiative aims to strengthen the competitiveness, sustainability and reliability of batteries placed on the EU market.

VAT and circular economy

The European Commission has launched a public consultation on possible adjustments to VAT rules in support of the circular economy. The aim is to identify tax measures that encourage reuse, repair and other circular business models.
